Tonbridge started the 2008 season with a great win over the London Stealers.
Tonbridge took an early lead, scoring the maximum 5 runs in the first 2 innings and with some great pitching from Charlie Dinning, we kept the lead all through the match.
A special mention has to go to Harry, Lennon and Michael, all playing for the first time and all doing a great job.
Well done to Sam for getting a home run and to Dan, Tom and Ozzie for some excellent pitching.
You should all be very proud of yourselves for the way you all played together. Once you gain playing time and get used to how the games play out, you could be one of the strongest teams in the league.
I hope you all enjoyed the games. Don't worry about the second game that we lost to Windsor, as we would have won easily had we taken the automatic outs. Feel glad that the game was a better, closer one than it would have been.
