Spring training

Offering the perfect introduction to baseball, Tonbridge baseball club offer training sessions from April. Whether you've played before or have never even tried on a glove, we have coaches ready to help you on

your way

when:

Starting from Monday April 16th meeting from 6-8:30 pm. We will then meet evry Monday evening at the same time.

Where:

We have now moved to better facilities and will be training at Cobdown sports club, Aylesford.

Why:

The aim of these sessions is to get players ready for the upcoming season, to encourage them to throw regularly and generally give them a good start to the season

Cost:

We do have to pay for the use of the facility, so we do charge £2 per session. Each addittional child per family will be charged at £2 each. This is kept to an absolute minimun and the shortfall payable is made up by the club

What to bring:

If you have equipment, great, please bring it along, but don't worry if you haven't. The club will provide all equipment needed including gloves, bats, helmets etc. There are facilities available, but please bring water along. Dress accordingly for sport; joggers or shorts, indoor trainers etc and please bring an extra layer in case it's cold

Our aim:

Our aim with all our sessions is to develop the fundamental baseball skills every player needs, whether they are novices or experienced players. We always put fun first, so our coaching methods will be geared towards that.

Parents:

Parents are always welcome to come along and watch training sessions. The club facilities are available to all parents, so grab a coffee or cold drink and relax in the bar. We do encourage parents to help out if they feel able and would like to, but there's no pressure to do so.

Safety:

We do everything possible to ensure the safety of the children. All batters must wear helmets (no exceptions), we always use indoor training balls with a soft core and there are rules regarding swinging bats etc that all the children must follow

Any forms to fill in:

Every parent  will be asked to fill in a contact form, so we have all your details. This will include questions on health issues so we are aware of any issues that may arise (asthma etc)
There is a contact form available on the downloads section of our website

Should you decide to play for the club during the regular season, we will then ask you to complete a registration form

How do I get involved:

Email the club via the website, call us, or simply come along to one of our sessions

I hope I've covered everything here, but if anyone has any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me

We look forward to seeing you all soon
